We Track Down and Seal Up Pesky Leaks
It doesn’t take a trained professional to figure out when the P-trap under your kitchen sink is leaking. But not all leaks are so obvious. Some are tucked behind walls or under floors, making them hard to spot. Other times, the leak may be buried under your home or in your yard. These may be impossible to notice until your water bill arrives.
If you think you have a leak on your property, it’s time to act fast. Leaks generate costly water bills, but they can cause mold, rot and even sinkholes if allowed to fester. It’s best to resolve these problems early before they balloon out of control.
Whether you have an easy-to-spot leak or something more insidious, Ricky Heath Plumbing is ready to help with all of your water leak repairs. We know all of the tricks of the trade for tracking hard-to-find leaks to their sources, and we’re equipped to start fixing the problem in no time.
Know the Danger Signs
Not sure if you’ve got a leak on your hands? Here are some tips to keep in mind.
- Your floors are unusually warm. If a pipe carrying hot water bursts under your concrete slab, it will heat the floor. This may seem like a perk, but it can lead to serious damage.
- Your water meter is constantly spinning. Shut off all of your faucets and don’t run your washing machine or dishwasher. If your meter keeps going, it means you’ve got a leak somewhere on the property.
- Your water bill suddenly spikes. Assuming your rates stayed the same, a surging water bill usually means you’ve sprung a leak in your plumbing.
- Unusual puddles form in your yard. If your yard is damp during a dry spell, it may be a sign an underground pipe is leaking. If it smells like a swamp, a sewage pipe is probably the culprit.
