Was called to customers house due to no ac. Started at thermostat and set to cool. Went to outdoor unit and found unit was not running. As it was an older thermostat with resettable high pressure switch I reset switch and unit came on. Checked pressures, amp draws, capacitor, and contactor. All in working condition at this time. Contactor is chattering however and capacitor is getting slightly weak(35/3 rather than 40/3). Continued thorough evaluation and checked air handler. Amp draws are good and evaporator coil is in good condition. There are also no safety switches present. Advised customer of chattering contactor may go out soon as well as weakening capacitor and absence of a safety switch on air handler in attic. Did not want to do any at this time. Also advised unit is old and may want to start thinking about replacing.
I arrived on site and greeted customer. I checked the outdoor units electrical and Freon. I checked both air handlers electrical and heater kits. I checked thermostats and ductwork. I also cleaned coils and checked drain lines. I also checked temperatures across the supply registers.
For this job, we were called out for an issue with the water heater. I pulled the gas line off and noticed there wasn’t any pressure. So I checked the gas meter and it was locked. I advised homeowner of the issue and told him after the gas is turned back on if there are any issues call back in and let us know.

I then cleaned off the coil. The system is a 2020 carrier heat pump.

Customer stated that their washing machine was backing up. I tested the washing machine by running 4 loads and it did not back up. There is a drain pain under the washing machine that shows signs of water. I noticed a wet spot under the washing machine. I lifted the washer up and noticed water dripping from the back left. I believe the washer is leaking internally.

Customer stated tub was backing up, I did a diagnostic and determine what it take to unstop it. I also crawled under the home, the kitchen and half of the tub drain have been replaced with pvc. They would like us to send a service tech to give them an estimate on replacing the rest of the tub drain and one for repiping the the sewer for home under the house.
For this job the customer has a spot in his yard at the septic tank. When the pump from the addition kits on it floods in the yard and it backs up into the clean out by the house. Snaked the clean out at the house. Cleared the line with the sewer machine. There’s some other crazy stuff going on with the septic tank and the customer wants to get it service.
This option will include us unstopping the kitchen sink and installing new c/s bathroom faucet. With this option we will take apart the kitchen p trap and run our cable down the kitchen drain line of anything in the way causing it to not drain. After we know it’s clean and draining we will put everything back together and test for leaks and make sure the kitchen sink drains properl. After the kitchen sink is done we will take out the old bathroom faucet and pop up assembly and replace it with the new c/s bathroom faucet and pop up assembly. After that is installed we will make sure that there aren’t any leaks and test.

To repair cleanout
Upon arrival I greeted customer and he showed me to his package unit. I looked at the pressures to find head pressure was very high. So I looked at the evaporator and found 2 plastic bags in the coil and the coil itself was clogged with dust. I quoted and cleaned the evaporator coil then reassembled unit and checked pressures again. The suction pressure increased but the unit is still low on charge. System replacement or adding refrigerant and checking for leaks are the 2 options at this point.
Replace a section of 1/2 pex water line.
For this job Mr Richard had been working on his kitchen faucet sprayer but could not make it work and while he was doing that they found a leak on the hot stop. There was a few things under the kitchen sink that needed some attention. The customer and I decided that replacing the whole kitchen faucet would be the best thing for them. Tested the system and they love the new faucet especially that it doesn’t spray them in the face when they cut it on
